We usually meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month for a mixture of talks at the Loco Centre in the Winter months and visits to local historic locations in the Summer.
And the group carries out research into local places of historic interest, see below.
15th September: Guided tour of the Nottingham Council House. This has proved very popular and we are currently arranging with the tour organisers. It may be that they can only manage with a smaller number on the day so we will organise a second visit if needed.
20th October: this will be our first meeting in the Loco Centre. Our old friend Bob Massey will tell us about John Robinson of the Home Brewery and the history of the famous Arnold site.

January 2026 We started the New Year with a talk about William Thompson by Alan Dawson. William Thompson was a 19th century bare-knuckle fighter better known as Bendigo. He was born in the centre of Nottingham in 1811 and for most of his life lived within a few hundred yards of his birthplace. He was the survivor of triplets and his early years were hard.
