Submissions for the Newsletter and Website
Please use the u3a Officers page in Beacon to send news items and photos for the newsletter and website. Tick the boxes next to Assistant Newsletter Editor and Web Manager, and use the message template called Newsletter – News Item.
Articles
Keep articles for the Newsletter to 300 words or less. Longer articles can be included in the website. You are encouraged download and use the following template Word file for producing your news items (updated: 23 August 2026).
Photos
It helps if photos are sent as attachments, rather than embedded in accompanying documents.
Please re-name image files in a consistent format and compress large files to a manageable size as described in Appendix G of the Convenors Support Pack (below). Around 1000 x 700 pixels is generally good enough resolution for the Newsletter and Website.
