Bonsai Improvers on the 3rd Wednesday

The art of Bonsai is the creation of miniature versions of trees and shrubs to give us pleasure. It is an inexpensive hobby and you can get results quite quickly if you want to!

We either meet in a garden, or if the weather is bad, online. Bonsai are very satisfying whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced gardener. Combine gardening and artistic skills in the same hobby. And it doesn't take up a lot of space!

We are an enthusiastic group with a very wide range of experience from complete novice to very experienced, with all stages in between. The sorts of things that we do include:

  • Practice and learning sessions, timed to fit in with the bonsai tree growing year
  • Visits to each other's gardens
  • Problem solving sessions
  • External visits to local bonsai centres and exhibitions
  • Learning from each other
  • Trying out new things.

Come on, give us a try! - We are always welcoming new members.
