March 2025: Red Nose Day

We donned our honkers with a red nose as we partook of some fun and frivolity in the name of Red Nose Day. The big red hooters were on sale as were red nose cup cakes which saw us raise £45 for Comic Relief.

The songs were aptly comical and included Happiness (Ken Dodd), Bring me sunshine (Morecambe and wise), One Foot in the Grave (Eric Idle), Shame and Scandal ( Lance Percival), Lilly the Pink (Scaffold) and Victoria Wood's ballad of Freda and Barry AKA Let’s do it.

October 2024: Halloween

The group was visited and led by Cruella De Ville.

The theme was based around Halloween songs and included, Devil woman, There's a ghost in my house, Monster Mash, Bad moon rising, Spirit in the sky and Witch Queen of New Orleans.

June 2024: Thank you

Singing for Pleasureis so enjoyable, thanks to Gwen, Allan and Sheila.

The photograph shows a busy couple, Gwen and Allan, receiving a token of our appreciation as they change roles.

Thank you both for all the work you do for Netherfield and our U3a.

April 2024: Happy 90th

Here is proof that singing keeps you young - John Wingad with his birthday cake at a recent session on his 90th Birthday.

We all ate lots of Chocolate Cake during our tea/coffee break!
